Bosch to establish new manufacturing site in Russia

Bosch is going to open a new manufacturing plant for automotive technology in Samara, Russia.

Bosch,the automotive industry’s largest supplier,will have invested more than US$52 million in the new location by 2015.They will construct buildings including manufacturing, administration, warehousing, technical infrastructure, and a cafeteria. The buildings will cover about 15,000 square meters of floor space while site itself cover 200,000 square meters.After opening,Bosch will creat more than 500 associates in Samara by the end of 2017.

There will be three divisions operations located in this new site:starter motors and generators, diesel systems, and chassis systems control.Automotive technology such as antilock braking systems and alternators will be produced out mainly for local customers.These products will later be joined by starters and common-rail injectors for commercial vehicles.Because Russia is now an important growth market.Bosch said they are looking forward to expand its global presence not only in Russia,but also in eastern Europe by making this plan.At the same time,the site is located in the southern European part of Russia, Samara is a perfect base from which to serve our local customers.
